Here is the dream:

In the dream I follow a family that I knew from Church, the Roberts. This family in real life is very successful; brother Roberts (the head of the family), is athletic, smart, and competent, and sister Roberts is beautiful.

The dream started with my seeing the Robert’s family fall into ruin: First, while they were flying in their private jet, a wall in the jet caved in – ruining the jet but they themselves were somehow not injured. Next, there was a section of wall and roof of their house (which was more of a mansion) that caved in during a storm (though I forget the order, perhaps the house was ruined first).

They couldn’t afford to repair their dwelling, so begged their neighbors, people in their congregation, and religious leaders for help, but no one helped them. Eventually, however, a political rival offered help. The rival is a slim, white man with black hair. He offered a loan of 85 million dollars to brother Roberts. There was then a scene where (apparently in a gesture of generosity) this political leader let the Roberts family take a ride on his horse driven carriage. In a compartment of the carriage, the Roberts family found candy – the candy looked like multicolored jewels – it was some sort of edible crystal formed to resemble gemstones; they looked sharp. The Roberts decided that it would be OK if they ate the candy, so proceeded to do so.

The political rival then enters. He is laughing and reveals he was tricking the Roberts the whole time. The purpose was to get them to eat the diamonds. As a result (somehow), the political party (which brother Roberts was the head of in the dream) lost the election. Apparently, it was a parliamentary system, so they had lost half of their seats to the opposing party.

I then see a short scene of the Roberts family. They are downcast and sad, and everything looks grey.

Following this, I went back in time to the start of the dream. I learned I had actually just witnessed a dream that sister Roberts had of the future. Knowing the impending collapse of her family, sister Roberts proceeds to attempt to prevent all of these catastrophes from unfolding.

She starts by trying to convince brother Roberts to upgrade the key area of the roof that collapses, but he doesn’t believe her. So instead, she adds L brackets to various other places in the attic – apparently since she wasn’t able to do anything to strengthen the main area of collapse, all she can do is strengthen other regions.

She moves on to again add these L brackets to their plane. However, they are not enough: The wall of the plane again caves in while they are on a flight. In the turmoil, the Roberts family is flung around the cabin, and every single member (somehow) gets their ankles and wrists wrapped in duct tape – thus suspending them in the air spread eagled, preventing them from doing anything to fix the plane. I remember in this scene the plane was dark and slightly red. However, eventually the plane lands and they are unhurt.

They then have to scrap the plane at a facility owned by their political rival. A little girl appears. I think she represents the Holy Ghost – she doesn’t interact with the world but can communicate and guides the Roberts in what to do; I believe she is there in response to sister Roberts’ prayers. The girl guides the Roberts family to stay inside the plane cabin as robotic arms start doing stuff to the plane. There are screws laying inside trays on the arms that the family is to collect. Since the robots move fast, and the trays are spinning rapidly, the task seems dangerous. However, eventually the Roberts family is able to collect the necessary screws without injury.

Through this scene, I am playing the role of one of the Roberts sons. A Roberts daughter – who is little – doesn’t have much success and starts to lament because she believes they weren’t going to be able to collect all of the screws. Therefore, the other little girl (the one who is guiding us), tells me to show the Roberts girl all the screws I had collected. I show her, and she stops crying because she sees that I have had a lot of success and that we were going to make it and collect all of the screws.

Interpretation

I believe this dream represents the state of the world.

Sister Roberts represents the believers who know of the calamities that come.

If more people believed in all the warnings we have received from God, we would be able to prevent the calamities – just like the collapse of the roof could have been prevented if brother Roberts believed sister Roberts.

Since we can’t stop the collapse, there still are a few things we can do to mitigate it, just as Sister Roberts was still able to strengthen other parts of the house.

I believe that the diamonds that were eaten represent the mark of the beast. The Roberts family ate them because they were put in a position of needing their rival, and he tricked them. Similarly, calamitous events will make us feel like we need the antichrist, and he will pretend to help us, but it actually is a trick. After taking the diamonds, the family saw the world in grey. I looked up 85 (the loan amount) in the Strong’s Concordance and found, “to be troubled, great distress or anguish, depressed”, which I believe sums up the situation of the Roberts after they are tricked.

It also is worth noting that the people who were supposed to help the Roberts family during unexpected crisis – their religious leaders – did nothing.

I believe the duct tape binding the members in the plane represents how at the start of the calamity, there will be something that completely disables everyone including the believers. This will leave everyone helpless and unable to help each other or fix anything. Could this event be the three days of darkness? I still don’t fully know what the plane scene represents.

During the dream, I had the thought that we were collecting the screws to fix the plane. However, now I believe the screws represent people that we will convert. So, during these calamities, the holy ghost (represented by the little girl), will lead us to convert nonbelievers.

The part about the political party losing membership is interesting to me: I think somehow when people initially give into the MOB this will allow Satan to have complete control of the political systems.

The overall message I get is: calamities are coming to the world, nothing can stop this. All we can do is make a few key preparations. After the calamities initiate, there will be a period of complete helplessness, but these calamities will also lead us to spread the good word to those still in the dark presently with the help of the holy ghost. Beware of the mark. Finally, this dream doesn’t make sense if there is a pretribulation rapture.
