I had this dream on 4/7/25
In the dream I was a little kid (perhaps 8 years old) who was somehow being inducted into a group of secret agents in the Mormon Church. We had received a series of anonymous tips from a source leading to valuable objects. The last tip lead us to an extremely realistic statue of Joseph smith and (I think) Hyrum Smith. I guessed the statue must have been cast from a wax mold, and the agents confirmed that was likely true (I don’t recall what the statue was actually made of though). Anyway: The present tip lead us to a remote spot on either the south pole or north pole – a region covered in glaciers and mountains. We used a Blackhawk helicopter to get there and found a realistic gold replica of the golden plates at the specified location. We took the replica and were very excited about it, but were cognizant that it likely was a forgery, not the actual plates. Our interpretation was that the forgery was made by a “fan” to support us. There also was another kid (a girl), who was there being inducted; I felt competition with her for some reason.
Interpretation:
This dream represents apostasy within the Mormon Church. The lifelike statue of Joseph Smith represents a fake “imposter” joseph being taught which is not exactly the same as the original. Likewise, the gold plates we found again represent imposter scriptures replacing the original book of Mormon. The fact we were secret agents in a black hawk represents how this replacement of original truths with deceptions has been done secretly: a secret sect within the Church that you have to be inducted into and compete to climb the ranks has corrupted the original essential truths.
Its also interesting how we received our directions: not by revelations, but rather by “anonymous tips”. We should have instead been guided by true revelation or at least have been investigating who or what these tips came from; not naively following them. Our reaction instead was to think the tips came from a “fan” trying to help us. That is unfortunately how apostasy works: people think it is harmless work done by fans (see the chosen tv show); when in reality it is replacing/confusing/diluting original truths.
And of course, someone guiding us to antarctica to find golden plaits of course is NOT a normal fan – they would only do this if they were trying to trick us into accepting these plates as real. And we knew that these plates were probably fake, but still went along with the instructions and (presumably) were going to pass the plates back to church higher ups who would then have claimed they actually were the gold plates which had been recovered.
The fact that I was a kid in the dream represents (I believe), the naïve states of members. As a kid, I wasn’t questioning what the authorities were doing, instead I sought their praise. Likewise, many members haven’t been looking towards the true source (prayer/scriptures); but have instead followed the directives/teachings of Church leaders. They haven’t asked the big questions such as: Why does a religion that claims to be guided by a prophet not have any recorded prophetic revelations (dreams/visions/words from god/etc.) for the past century?
Personal Note:
I once saw an interview with a phd professor type who, later in life, had been visited by aliens. Some of the aliens looked like greys, but others just looked like normal humans. However, the aliens could communicate telepathically. They basically told the professor to let the world know of their existence.
The professor was asked why he didn’t think the aliens were actually demons. His response was interesting: He didn’t know; maybe they were aliens! He felt they were probably not, but he was just reporting the experiences he had. What was he supposed to do? These actually were things that had happened to him.
Now, from my perspective, I am about 98% sure that this guy was indeed visited by demonic entities – guiding your life in accordance with their will is extremely dumb. However, again, what was he supposed to do? This was the only spiritual experience he had ever had. I feel a kinship with this professor: this dream of mine could also be a demonic attack. I try to read the scriptures and pray every day, but no one is immune. It’s possible that actually all of my dreams reported on this website are demonic attacks, but how am I supposed to know for sure? All I can do I guess is wait to see if the dreams start to come true (which they haven’t).
