I dreamt of scouting out this abandoned ancient looking city with other people. The city had a large courtyard that we were in and looked somewhat like a medieval castle with towers. We, the scouting party – who also were to be the priests – were just ahead of a very large group of people, and so were sort of preparing the way for said group to enter the city.
We were in this city because we knew that New Jerusalem would land there imminently in an area designed for its landing, as we knew specifically when it would land. This old city was in our minds the old Jerusalem (though this “old Jerusalem” did not seem to be the same place as what most people think is the city Jerusalem).
Specifically, we sought to make a final animal sacrifice in preparation – thus we literally would be sacrificing an animal. I also remember that many of the people there did not have the priesthood, and everything had to be done for them as if they were children; as such, these people relied on and had high hopes in us. It was therefore our task to restart the priesthood traditions, but we didn’t really know what we were doing, and the fact that this would not be a walk in the park only really dawned on us just before New Jerusalem was to land. I also remember it being sort of a test on us to see if we could perform the sacrifice.
Fortunately, we had a few scriptures (which I forget now) which directed us on how this sacrifice was to be conducted – after all, none of us had ever sacrificed an animal. The scriptures also specified where the sacrifice was to be sacrificed: therefore, I followed the instructions in the scriptures leading us to the place of sacrifice. The dream ended just before the people with me were to be ordained so that they could perform the sacrifice.
On waking, I felt that I received these scripture references:
Leviticus 3:7-9
7 If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the Lord.
8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.
9 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat thereof, and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
And also, Leviticus 8.

Here are a few scriptures about the coming of the New Jerusalem:
Malichi 3:3
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.
Ether 13
3 And that it was the place of the New Jerusalem, which should come down out of heaven, and the holy sanctuary of the Lord.
…5 And he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come—after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord; and it should be built unto the house of Israel—
6 And that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for which things there has been a type.
…9 And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new.
10 And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein, for it is they whose garments are white through the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph, who were of the house of Israel.
11 And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which God made with their father, Abraham.
Moses 7
62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.
63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;
64 And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, which shall come forth out of all the creations which I have made; and for the space of a thousand years the earth shall rest.
