I dreamt that I was attending a college lecture about religion. During this, we were given cards of nice things we should do for others, which I thought were thoughtful and kind.
Christ’s Memory
I asked the professor if Christ had instantly received his premortal memories during his mortal life. The professor responded saying that he had received a spiritual experience which told him that this was not the case – rather, Christ had received this knowledge more gradually, and it had been finished off by a visit from Aliens.
Luke 2:52
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Receiving Personal Revelation
At the very end, after the class had ended with a prayer, I was about to ask the professor how to receive revelation, but then he answered my question before I asked it. He said to pray with real intent, and to have authenticity in the way you pray.
In another dream this night, I learned:
Knowing who we pray to and how Jesus is a scale going to God in nature – a continuum – helps us receive personal revelation – just like praying correctly helps us – as they both are instrumental in how we pray.

New Age Dream
I dreamt of seeing a woman with silver hair in her mansion. I knew that she was starting a new age religion, and that her role as a spiritual councilor had brought her fame and fortune.
I also saw that she had a website expounding her teachings, which explained that she claimed to have received her ideology from an ancient religion from Turkey during around the time of Christ, of which religion was very similar to the religion held by the Jews. I also saw a scene/video of her and a man standing in a baptismal font, and I knew the man was to be baptized, but she was separated a few feet from him.
I later dreamt of seeing one of the New Testament apostles enter this complex that I knew was controlled by a rival religious leader who was antagonistic to the Christians. This leader – who I knew was bad – had his own distinct beliefs and did not include Jesus Christ as the head of his religion. I also felt that this paralleled something in the book of Mormon, as well as the dreams I received earlier in the night.
Discussion
These two dreams link modern new age teachings to ancient beliefs in the middle east – showing how the new age isn’t really new at all.
The problem I imagine is that this non-Christian semitic religion will indeed appeal to those with Christian backgrounds, since it has a very similar doctrinal structure to Abrahamic religions, but will reject Jesus Christ as the cornerstone.
This all parallels the Book of Mormon because the Book of Mormon’s protagonists contend against many variants of Judaic beliefs that reject Jesus; thus, the text gives explanations for what these beliefs were and why they were wrong in a more detailed fashion than found in the Bible (which mostly discusses the evils of idolatry, a problem largely irrelevant nowadays). These evil sects include:
- The Order of Nehor (Alma 1).
- The Amlicites (Alma 2)
- The Amulonites (Mosiah 23:30–35)
- The Zoramites (Alma 31)
- The followers of Sherem (Jacob 7)
