I dreamt of staying at someone else’s house; I didn’t see who they were, but I met their adolescent daughter.
I struck up a conversation with her while we were outside in a patio area with several tables with benches. She then prayed over her food, and I noted that she was praying to Sophia – not God or Jesus – and her prayer really was directly addressed to Sophia.
This concerned me! I told her that I had actually been writing an essay about why we should not pray to Sophia just before our conversation, which was true in the dream but in real life I wasn’t writing any such essay. As such, I said that I could talk about Sophia for hours, and the girl agreed to have a conversation about it.
I first noted how there is this perception that Sophia doesn’t judge us, but God does, and that could possibly be why people want to follow Sophia – they are afraid God hates them. The girl agreed on this. I continued, describing to the girl how I had dreamt of Sophia multiple times. In my most recent dream of her I had learned that Sophia doesn’t judge people for alcohol intoxication, and I noted that in my dreams I had somewhat generally learned that Sophia is less judgmental.
I then noted to the girl that we never really ever read any scriptures about Sophia being more judgmental than God or vice versa. We just collectively seem to know it – and I hypothesized that this could be because Sophia actually is real, and we intrinsically know or are given a vague knowledge of her.
I was planning on continuing my spiel about God: we worry that God judges us for our every action – our every thought – even things we do that don’t really hurt anyone. But the scriptures never say God does this. Perhaps, I intended to speculate, we know God is against sin, and our internal moral compass knows that these little tiny things still are sins – even if the world says they are fine. So, it isn’t God or the scriptures telling us these small things are bad, but our own intrinsic moral compasses within our soul – but since Sophia isn’t linked to this moral compass, she doesn’t set off these senses within us.
So what does that mean for Sophia? In my dreams she is a demonic entity – specifically, I dreamt of this false feminine spirit in Betrayal / Dark forces in Churches / Christian Zionism is False, and Get Up N Glow also had a very similar dream about this false goddess being worshipped here.
Also, at the beginning of the dream, I was eating noodles with olive oil while sitting in bed, and the girl saw me; in this scene I was acutely worried of spilling the olive oil on the bed. Moreover, as I was talking to the girl, she moved to sit on the end of the bench which was somehow actually a this big brownie cake thing which crumbled underneath her weight. Thus, she then quickly moved to throw it away as I was talking to her.
I think the symbolism of this is that the brownie represents Sophia – since both brownies and Sophia are temptations – and Sophia is all the more tempting when you consider that Sophia promises to love and protect us, just like God, but unlike God she doesn’t require us to follow the commandments or repent of our sins. On the other hand, the noodles with olive oil represent our actual God – as olives are often used metaphorically in the scriptures to represent things of God (see the parable of the ten virgins, or how people are anointed with olive oil to receive the priesthood, or how the garden of gethsemane is said to be an olive grove, or Jacob 5). Unlike brownies, noodles with olive oil will be much less good tasting, but will ultimately be healthier. And the symbolism of the bench made of these brownies crumbling represents how this Sophia worship is not a sure foundation, unlike the bed I was comfortably in while eating the noodles.
Western Occultism History
I am writing an essay right now about Sophia, which will be more comprehensive, but I can’t help but write out what I have learned so far here.
First of all, it is important to note that I think that Satan has a female counterpart, in the same sense that God the father has a second counterpart, Jesus Christ.
Sophia comes from the gnostic gospel called the secret gospel of John, which portrays the God of the Old Testament as the evil son of Sophia, who is good. This is done to make a new cosmic system in which Satan is actually higher than God by being his parent, which of course is solemn mockery.
This Sophia figure reminds me very much of the goddess Neith, who some Egyptians made to be above their God Ra. Similar to how Sophia means wisdom in Greek, Neith is also (one of) the Egyptian Gods of Wisdom. Also, interestingly, in the Egyptian religion, Neith’s son, Ra – who is normally the highest Egyptian God, the God of the Sun – has this odd dynamic with his eyes, which were semi-independent beings to himself. Namely, he sent his first eye off in search of his lost children, but then forgot this eye and spawned another eye. When the eye returned, since it had been replaced with a new eye, Ra turned this eye into a serpent – hence the tradition of putting serpents on your head in Egyptian symbolism.
This of course reminds me very much of how Satan left God, and so God is said to have turned Satan into a serpent, and also how (it is mentioned in Moses 4:1-4) that Satan initially wanted to be the Christ, but instead God chose Jesus to be the Christ. So essentially, the Egyptian pattern of a secret mother god (Neith) being above their normal god, of which normal god rejects one of its members and turns it into a snake very much resembles the gnostic belief system in which a secret mother goddess is above God the Father, and (then per Christian theology) God the father rejected Satan in favor of Christ and Satan then became associated with snakes.
The Egyptian God, Neith, is thought by the ancients Greeks to literally be the same god as Athena – so in the cult of Athena, Athena is actually the highest god – and indeed, even in the standard Greek pantheon Athena is never born, she just magically appears, which is reminiscent to the idea of being uncreated (unlike most of the other Greek gods). Like Sophia and Neith, Athena is also of course a god of wisdom.
As Tracy Twyman discusses in Baphomet: The Temple Mystery Unveiled, the term Sophia can be turned into “Baphomet” through the atbash cypher. Baphomet is also related to a certain Arabic word for wisdom (أبو فهمة – Abufihamat), and per some occultic sources, such as Aleister Crowley, Baphomet means “Father Mithras” – Mithras being a Proto-Indo-Iranian divinity. Mithras later became associated with the Mithras cult of Rome, which was held by the Roman military and elite, but was kept secret to the general public. This cult was very satanic – involving sacrificing bulls which sit atop a grating, with a person in a pit below the grating – upon which person the blood and guts of the bull fall in a sort of dark baptism. Interestingly, it is said that the practice of the handshake literally comes from a form of Mithras worship, since Mithras originally was a god of covenants. Also, Mithras is typically portrayed with a Phrygian cap – just like Sophia!
The point is that the relationship between all of these Gods and Baphomet is not coincidental – these gods are all related to each other in many other ways beyond their relation to Baphomet, and each functions as its own symbol for Satan.
Mithras worship, in my view, never fully died, and was held by certain European aristocrats throughout the middle ages, helping spawn various satanic religions, and the same I think is true of the cult of Athena (discussed in Creepy Things in Mormon Temples). Interestingly, the Rosicrucians believe that the Chi Rho symbol (usually thought to be formed from the letters of Jesus Christ’s name) is original from the acronyms of the name of Mithras. The Rosicrucians then tie all of this back to the Egyptians because the whole point of their religion is that they think Jesus Christ was a member of a secret Egyptian mystery religion, that Jesus was actually Egyptian and not Jewish, and that the Jewish religion of the old testament was false, and they think their order directly descends from this Egyptian mystery religion.
Sophia, the god in Gnosticism, is then very similar to the Rosicrucians in that they too think the old testament god of the jews is bad, but that Jesus was helping restore a secret religion which was good (to note, neither the Gnostics nor the Rosicrucians believe that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected however). And interestingly, the Gnostics were actually very concentrated in Egypt, so its possible that some of these Gnostics literally were part of the mystery religion that the Rosicrucians are so proud of being descended from.
And then this Egyptian mystery religion itself is of course satanic, in that it inverts the traditional Christian cosmology by making the eye turned into a snake actually be good, and then placing a mother God above the typical God. Beyond the Rosicrucians, it is also worth noting that more modern Satanic religions – such as those who follow the left hand path – also try to emulate the Egyptian pantheon, though usually they rearrange the gods to make the main first two children – who are sort of dark and light sides of each other – be Set and Horus. And to note more broadly, the Rosicrucians claim to be descendants of this Egyptian mystery religion through the knights Templar, and these through the Johannites – who believed in John the Baptist, since John the Baptist also was a high priest (they believe) in the mystery Egypt cult thing, just like Jesus Christ. It is also thought that the Knights Templar brought the black Madonna statues to Europe, of which statues are actually statues of Isis – in line with their secret worship of the Egyptian mystery religion – and they only pretended to be the mother to avoid the inquisition (see Lynn Picknett’s The Templar Revelation).
The point is: all of these Satanic ideas are tied together much more closely than traditional historians would claim – thus linking to what I learned in Betrayal / Dark forces in Churches / Christian Zionism is False, in which I saw that this evil female goddess had many different faces, representing how she is worshipped under different names across various religions. They all seek to pretend that the god of the Old Testament is evil, and to set up a female god even above him for us to worship instead.
And just to note, the two other major lines of wester occultism are also very much tied into all this, though they are not directly cousins with each other in the same sense that Sophia=Neith=Athena=Mithras=Baphomet – all the same god.
The first of these – the Kabbalah – teaches that God split into two when Jerusalem was destroyed, creating a female side and a male side. However, they mainly worship the female side, called the Shekhinah, because they think it is this side that is the one helping the Jewish people, and they call the male side the lesser countenance. Thus, they adhere to the pattern of replacing God with a female version.
And the second major line is the Enochian magic of John Dee, from which descended the order of the Golden dawn, and from there through Aleister Crowley (a member of the order of the Golden Dawn) the Ordo Templi Orientis and Thelema [and then Keneth Grant, a member of Thelema, established the Typhonian Order]. While John Dee, it appears, didn’t really have much of a connection to all of these other religions in his magical system, the organizations that descended from him very much did: firstly, the Rosicrucian order, already mentioned as being very focused on the Egyptian mystery religion, copied John Dee’s famous symbol, the Monas Hieroglyphica, and they also extensively quoted John Dee’s writings in the second Rosicrucian manifesto, Confessio Fraternitatis. And secondly, the Golden Dawn of course became also obsessed with this Egyptian mystery religion – borrowing Egyptian Gods to place in their Enochian chess – and later Aleister Crowley connected all of this to worship of Mithras as mentioned earlier.
Conclusions
I recount all this history to inform the reader that Sophia isn’t simply the divine feminine, but rather is a puzzle piece in a much larger evil occult religious system spanning across history.
With just the Bible, unfortunately it is hard to argue with this system, since this system also is of ancient origin and tradition.
However, the Book of Mormon is the weapon that destroys all of this.
Firstly, as I have proven in several essays discussed in the Non-Dream Essays section, the Book of Mormon is proven to be true (you will have to see those essays to understand why).
But since the Book of Mormon came to Joseph Smith through divine happenings, that very much implies that all of the contents of the Book of Mormon are also true. Namely, Jesus actually was Jewish, and the Jewish religion of the old testament was the same religion as the religion established by Jesus, and the Jewish god of the Old Testament was not evil.
More importantly, Jesus actually did rise from the dead and has power over death, and we will all be judged on the final day by God the Father.
From a practical perspective, this is all the information we really need to know that this web of occultic ideas is impractical: since the God of the Old Testament and his son, Jesus Christ, are the ones with power over death – the ones who will be our final judges – we should worship them to have a good place in the eternities, rather than worship the gods who formed the religions which put down and oppose Jesus Christ.
But from a more spiritual perspective, if the Book of Mormon is actually true, then that means that Jesus’s adversary, Satan, is the father of lies, and was a murderer from the beginning. God creates, and Satan destroys. Everything good comes from God, and Satan’s only function is to tempt us to do evil.
Surely it is foolishness to follow this Satan. So let us follow Jesus Christ instead.
And no, you cannot follow both Jesus and Sophia. Firstly, because Sophia comes from Gnosticism, which holds the god of the Jews to be evil – thus rejecting the entire religious system that Jesus had set up across the ages. And more broadly, because Gnosticism is part of a much larger system of occult thought, which all rejects Jesus Christ and says he was not resurrected, and to be part of that system places you at odds with Jesus Christ as well.
I encourage you, my dear reader, to believe in Jesus Christ. Don’t believe in the anti-Christian propaganda: as the Bible tells us, God is merciful, kind, good, and judges in righteousness.
John 3:17
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
