Problems with The Law of One

* I also have further discussion of the new age in Music and the New Age.

For context in this essay, the book, The Law of One, is a channeled piece of literature upon which much of the new age ideas have been built. Even if you don’t know what this book is, if you are tempted into new age ideas (such as reincarnation, thinking we are all pieces of the divine who may progress back to the divine source, etc.), I recommend reading this essay, since this essay will address much of the new age. Similarly, in this essay I also discuss the problems with believing the testimonies of people who astral projected.

And for further context: the main goal of this essay was originally specifically to convince people to not believe what they are told by entities while astral projecting (because such entities actually are demonic entities). So here is the essay:

I must admit that I fell for The Law of One a few years ago, I read much of the book, listened to some of the recordings, and listened to some youtubers such as Aaron Abke. In fact, Aaron Abke was the one who taught me how to astral project.

I understand why people are attracted to it, since its beliefs are often supported by:

a. experiences on psychedelics

b. experiences astral projecting

Moreover, the theories therein offer a philosophically attractive solution to the problem of religion by creating a unifying religion that incorporates aspects of all previous religions while emphasizing new “hip” practices such as meditation.

That being said, let me take it apart:

Don’t trust what spirit guides tell you in Astral Projections

– At this point, it seems fairly realistic to say that many religions are based upon astral like experiences.
– If we assume many religions are false, it seems a relatively straightforward assumption that the “divine entities” that taught many “prophets” were also false teachers.
– much of the advice of spirit guides I have read about from people’s astral projection experiences is contradictory (mainly about the afterlife):
a. Typical eastern religious believe reincarnation to be a progression until we transcend out of this universe through meditation.
b. According to gnostic ideas, we must be wary to not walk into the “light trap” after death (see reddit prison planet), where evil entities guide us into a tunnel of light to be reincarnated back to earth.
c. According to some entities people have met while astral projecting, humans being preprogrammed to fear hell leads them to go straight to hell when they die. Or in other words, the law of attraction guides us to our place in the afterlife (example).

– if the astral realm is at all like the physical realm, then surely there are going to be many charlatans there, so why do we blindly trust everything every “spirit guide” has to tell us?

* basically, it seems almost every single widely believed contradictory view of the afterlife has been taught by spirit guides somewhere in accounts from astral projectors, at least every single one except for the traditional Christian one. Interestingly, Christianity is the main (common) religion which teaches about “demons” taking the form of angels of light in order to deceive people.

So don’t take the advice of spirit guides as gospel.

Depth on Contradictory advice of Spirit Guides

Here I will just hammer in that spirit guides give contradictory views of the after life and cannot be trusted.

If you die and find yourself in a plane where one direction is dark and the other is light, do you go to the light or not? Truthfully, the answer to that question actually does depend on the spirit you have been listening to.

According to the law of one, you affirmatively should go to the light, because the light side represents the higher vibrational realm of the astral, where good beings reside, and the dark side represents the lower vibrational realm where you will find negative entities and hell. However, prison planet theorists have contradictory beliefs – saying you should go to the dark side since the masters of this universe (archons) are not benevolent and harvest us by reincarnating us if we go through the light trap. To complicate this further, believing in the law of attraction view of hell should also apply to beliefs in archons – which is that archons are only able to harvest us because we fear them so much – which again encourages us to not fear the archons and therefore not be scared of walking into the light.

Furthermore, people who have the traditional view of reincarnation likewise don’t believe you should be worried about walking into “light traps”, since reincarnation is actually good and is part of our progression. Which of course contradicts again the creepy gleeful spirits who tell you that hell is a real place but you only go there if you are overly focused on being afraid of it.

And all of these theories are supported somewhere by spirit guides people have had while astral projecting! So the advice of spirit guides is completely unreliable! Here are a few basic questions that spirit guides completely contradict each other in answering:

  1. After death, if placed in a plane where one side is light and the other is dark after dying, which way should I go?
  2. If I am unenlightened should I expect to go to an afterlife city or be reincarnated after I die?
  3. Are the masters of this world inherently good, or inherently bad (the archons)?

The History

The latter half of the 20th century is strangely fraught with a large number of channeled works from extraterrestrials. This material actually is pretty unifying and non contradictory, and the individuals providing this work form a strangely interconnected web with the super rich and the intelligence community of the USA. For example, the law of one book was written by Carla Rueckert, while under hypnosis by Don Elkins she channeled an entity known as Ra. Much of this history is reported in the stargate conspiracy, which is a must read if you want to understand the true history and back story of the source of much channeled literature. This is all to say that we shouldn’t trust channeled work because it is linked to creepy elites and the CIA.

The Negative Consequences of this Belief System

The belief that we are all aspects of God experiencing itself ultimately leads to a startling fact: Evilness is also an element of God, and so therefore there is nothing wrong in committing evil because that is but another manifestation of God experiencing himself (I have heard many psychedelic users saying exactly this). Moreover, as Mormon Monarch reveals, many secret societies are rooted in this exact concept: they think there are actually two paths to becoming like God, and conducting ritualized atrocities is one way that is equal unto the other (being a good person). In other words, experience and knowledge, not goodness, is what brings us to God.

Why We should be Suspicious

Let’s preface with some scripture. Since people who believe the law of one accept all religions as being true, this should be acceptable:

2 Corinthians 11:14–15
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works

Thus, we are taught to be very suspicious. This is augmented by the following scripture:

Matthew 24:24
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

One more scripture on this topic:

1 John 4:1
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Thus, we should be very suspicious of entities that we meet in the spiritual plain while astral projecting. So how do we know the truth? According to the scriptures, signs in the real world should accompany truth tellers:

Mark 16:20
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Matthew 7:16–20
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Here we learn that we can find the truth from the works of the teller. So, what are the works of Don Elkins? He committed suicide. Thus, to me it doesn’t seem like we should trust the Law of One.

Could a Negative Entity have Channeled the Law of One

In summary of the former scriptures, we learn to expect in the latter days: 1) Spirits going out to deceive the world; 2) These spirits have the outward appearance of good (angels of light) and deceive even God’s elect; 3) one way to discern the truth is to evaluate the presence of signs and wonders.

This directly applies to the law of one: Though the book is astonishing and would be very difficult to make up on the spot, it seems very possible that the book was inspired by an evil, deceitful, negative entity sending messages to Carla Rueckert.

What should We Expect from the Actual Truth

Quite simply, wherever the actual truth goes, we should expect miracles such as healings and much more evidence. An example of this can be found in the Latter Day Saint church:

Any study of early Church history (such as reading the book “Saints”) will find very numerous accounts of miraculous healings. Moreover, the Church is based upon the testimony of 11 witnesses who all saw the golden plates, upon which were written the ancient text of the Book of Mormon. Though most of the witnesses left the church by the time they died, none of them denied their belief that the Book of Mormon was actually true. Thus, belief in the Book of Mormon isn’t just rooted in trusting spirits, but in many witnesses to a tangible artifact in the real world.

This isn’t an advertisement for the LDS church, but rather this is an example of the type of things you should expect to definitely prove you actually have the truth. Just because a lying spirit revealed a cool cosmology, doesn’t mean it is true – you should expect actual miracles and archeological evidence to back it up.

The Truth

After reading the Book of Mormon and praying, I received a personal revelation that it is true, and I guarantee you will to if you read these scriptures with earnest intent. I have moreover witnessed actual miracles (healings, etc.) wrought through the power of Christ’s name. Thus, Christ is the ultimate truth we should be seeking after – not the contradictory testimonies of lying spirits.

Why is this Important?

Emphasized repeatedly in the scriptures is the fact that we only have one chance on earth. Our behavior here determines our destiny in the eternities. So don’t screw it up.

And this is the biggest problem I have with the law of one type beliefs. It lets us grow complacent by reassuring us that even “negative entities” will eventually become positive, that we might have multiple lives/chances, and that taking the positive path is inevitable eventually for every creature given enough time. This idea leads to complacency, because it indicates that salvation is assured. Well, according to the scriptures, it is not. As Jesus said:

Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus is saying that many people will think that they were part of his church because they profess his name. But no, they won’t go to heaven because they didn’t try hard enough in this life. I fear that the law of one will lead to people not trying hard enough because it teaches them to not be worried that their actions have consequences in the eternities. Satan loves this, here is a scripture on the topic (2 Nephi 28:8):

And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this. And do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.

And another scripture:

Alma 1:4
4 And he [Nehor, who is a villain deceived by Satan] also testified unto the people that all mankind should be saved at the last day, and that they need not fear nor tremble, but that they might lift up their heads and rejoice; for the Lord had created all men, and had also redeemed all men; and, in the end, all men should have eternal life.

Thus, Satan really wants us to believe that our salvations are ultimately assured, so we don’t have to worry about there being consequences for our actions. Since the law of one is a manifestation of this belief that Satan wants us to have, it makes perfect sense to me that a Demon would have revealed the Law of One to Carla Rueckert, and therefore I feel a great urgency to warn you to not place your faith in this book, or similarly put credence into ideas taught in the new age.
