My core dream discussing the plurality of worlds is God’s Kingdom on Other Planets and the Fall of Earth, though this topic is also touched on in Replacing People. This present dream provides further insight into the other worlds, though my knowledge of this topic is still very limited.
Plurality of Worlds Dream
I dreamt that I was staying with a bunch of kids at a cluster of cabins in the forest, of which cabins had hitherto been abandoned and therefore were falling apart. Since I had discovered long dead bodies which were nearly skeletons in the upper floor of one of the cabins, I barred everyone from going into that cabin. Then, at night, a little girl told me that she had gone into the forbidden cabin – in a corner area that protruded from the main cabin – and had found it to have four floors. I told her that the building was not that tall (it appeared to have two to three floors), but she insisted, and I believed her and followed her.
After fussing over bringing adequate flashlights, which included a glowing battery, I then followed the girl into this part of the cabin, ascending up a ladder through a trapdoor into the second floor of this protruding corner tower. On entering, we found that one of the walls was made of metal, contrasting with the square logs used in the rest of the cabins, and there was a metallic circular door – or rather, a hatch – in the wall.
We opened the hatch and emerged into a room which connected to a balcony circling a courtyard of an abandoned castle surrounded by mountains. We came to a whole new world! Here, it was also night, and we proceeded around the balcony to the other side. However, I then decided to double back, just to make sure we remembered how to get back home.
Trying to find the room with the portal, we found two identical doors next to each, and being unable to remember which one was correct, we decided to try both. The first room had many different circular doorways leading to different worlds, but none seemed to be ours. In the second room we also found many of these doorways, and I immediately spotted a brown door labelled “faith” which I thought was the right door, since I remember that our doorway had been labelled faith. However, the little girl also found a different brown door labelled faith which she showed me, and I agreed that her door was actually the correct door.
Regarding the appearance of all these doorways to different worlds, they all were painted different colors, such as pink or green, and each had mantels/overdoors above them that contained titles and symbols for the doors. Our door’s title was “Great Faith Makes Great Wisdom”, and the title above the imposter door was something like “faith versus jealousy – rich versus poor”.
If my memory serves me correctly, names of the other doors include “bringer of life”, “bringer of debate”, “courtship”, “bringer of death”, and “trade” – though I probably got some of these wrong, and there were more doors than just these. The headboards above the doors also each had their own symbol carved in them, which were things like clovers, hearts, or the comedy and tragedy masks. The symbol above our door was bread.
I also remember in this dream being afraid of supernatural entities or monsters that we could encounter, so I tried to be very quiet in the new world. However, we never saw any creatures in that place, and it looked just as abandoned as the cabins we had started in were abandoned.
* I will discuss this dream more at the bottom of this essay.
Changing Names Dream
I dreamt of seeing a long list of names in a spreadsheet of people outside the faith, documenting their evolution. This evolution of names was bad and was to stop the saints from protecting themselves. I then saw aspects of this in action – how the names of people outside the faith changed.
Later in the night, I saw a visualization and spreadsheet of how the names of people in South Africa were changed to make it harder to distinguish the saints from other people. This also had to do with language – how the original language was intended for the Afrikaners/South African people – but the language was changed. I then had a separate dream where I saw how the change of wording affected language in South Africa. Afterwords, I heard someone talking about the language problems in South Africa including difficulty telling who is who, and I heard them quote a different language, and he said something like “Dann Reust… I don’t know”. I then saw a spreadsheet of terms and definitions.
These dreams I think both have a literal and symbolic interpretation.
Symbolically, when Satan changes a person’s name, that represents him changing their identity and mindset. This is the demonic parallel to how God also changes people’s names (Revelation 2:17, Revelation 3:12, Isaiah 62:2, Genesis 17:5 & 15, Genesis 32:28; 35:10, John 1:42, Matthew 16:18). Hence, this dream represents how those out of the faith are evolving to be even further antagonistic against the true believers.
Literally speaking, my view is that it matters what language we speak and what words we use, as the way we think depends on what language we use. Therefore, it is in Satan’s interest to alter language and pollute it – firstly, because Satan hates us, and doesn’t want us to speak in the language that God would want us to speak – and secondly, because perhaps Satan could better control us if he controls our language. Therefore, the reason why South Africa was in the dream is because South Africa is an excellent case study of the pollution of languages: Firstly, because the language Afrikaans is a weird creole language of Dutch, but with simplified grammar, altered pronunciation, and many borrowed words from other languages. Secondly, because people in South African townships often just speak in a weird gobbledygook creole mix of many languages, since the country is so linguistically divided. And thirdly, because the language problems in the country likely have had negative political impacts – such as the question of how democracies are supposed to have debates and elections, if all the different candidates speak different languages or represent people who speak different languages.
Another important element of languages is that they help divide people, which can be a good thing. For example, the reason why Nigerians are so often the ones scamming Americans is because Nigerians speak English – so the fact that Nigerians speak English harms us, and we would be better off if Nigerians spoke a tribal language. This perhaps relates to my dreaming of how language has made it harder to distinguish saints from normal people.
I also dreamt of seeing a bunker with people in it who spoke a different language which I thought might be the right language. I then dreamt of “Hellenic pairings”, but I don’t know what this means.
Mormon Prophet on Tik Tok
I dreamt of seeing my brother being in my bedroom listening to short videos on his phone which seemed to be Tik Tok videos of the Mormon prophet. These videos seemed to be customized for him.
I also dreamt that salvation gives you oceans and things analogous.
Discussion on Plurality of Worlds
My view is that these doors represented entries to different worlds, which symbolize real locations across our vast universe. I suppose that you might also say that these doors represented different times in human history, or different times in my own life, or different gospel principles. But in this dream I thought they were different locations, and the doorways were metal and somewhat technological looking, and I think that the plurality of worlds was the intended meaning.
This dream resembles Replacing People, which also had a way to teleport between worlds located in abandoned places. However, in that dream instead of there simply being doorways leading between worlds, there instead was an intermediary elevator-like room which you first entered and then emerged in other places.
Interpretation for our World
I believe the names above the doors described the worlds behind them.
Thus, it appears that the attribute of our world is the need for great faith.
I think this is a fair description of our place, in that a lot of people don’t have any belief in the supernatural or of God and the afterlife. The only people with steadfast confidence in these things are people with unusually great faith. This apparently contrasts with other worlds, in which the question of “to have or to not have” faith is less important, and they instead are focused on things like trade, love, or governance.
I guess in the dream, I should have just gone through the door labelled “bringer of life” and never came back.
Being a person who has been obsessed with politics and geopolitics, the existence of multiple worlds is a helpful reminder that I need not despair if things seem to be going wrong on the world stage. After all, the purpose of this world somewhat is to be dysfunctional – thus, requiring us to have faith – and the promise is not an earthly paradise (even the millennium ends after a thousand years), but rather going back to our heavenly home.
Bread of Life
Another thing worth noting is that the symbol above our faith door was NOT the cross. Rather it was bread. I ask you, my dear reader: what symbol did Jesus give us? Was it not bread – the bread of life – His gift to us – the origin of the Sacrament? Surely Jesus would want us to be focused on His marvelous gift to the saints, not on the temporary triumph of Satan seen in Christ’s death on the cross, right? I worship Jesus’s gift of life, not the bloody instrument Jesus’s murderers used to kill Him.
John 6:35-51
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
…48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
